Theisen Family Multiples

This is the picture we took at the Theisen Family reunion last week. It is of all the family "multiples." Actually, I think we are missing a set of twins who are like 12 years old, and two halves of twin sets. If anyone knows the names of everyone, I'd appreciate you letting me know. It will be fun for the scrapbooks that I'll never get put together.

Dance Party USA

Recently my friends pointed out that my blog could use some work. So, I decided to update the site with a few videos and pictures.

The AEA continues to monitor the development of the kids, and seriously, they are doing great. They are "caught up" in every area, and even ahead in some! We are totally jazzed about it.

We took the kids swimming last week at the neighbor's house, and again yesterday at aunt Marilyn's house. If I get some pictures, I'll post them. Promise! Also, last week we had a Theisen (my mom's dad's) family reunion. While we didn't have t-shirts made this time, or a cookbook made, it was fun. I also discovered that there are a lot more multiples in the family! So, my words of advice to my Theisen relatives: beware or be multiplied. I am pretty sure I had the best looking quads there. :)

The first video is of Lily rocking to Madonna (her personal favorite) and then the kids grooving to "Under Pressure." The last video is just random with all the kids yelling "AAAHHHH!" They do it all the time, and they think they are hilarious. Well they are. After all, they are MY kids. :)

By the way, if you watch the videos, you'll see my house is a mess. I stopped caring about 17 months ago. Also, Lily doesn't end up falling off the sofa like you think she will.

The kids are doing great!

Thursday the gal from the AEA came to work with the kids, and she said that they are caught up developmentally, and probably are ahead in many ways. We are so excited! The AEA gal gave us some tips on where to work with them next, so that they keep up with their awesome progression. Woo hoo!!

Kevin and I celebrated our three year anniversary this week. I can't believe it has been three years....I am sure most couples understand that.

Here are some pictures I have taken this week, and a few videos of them dancing. I love Logan's moves!

New Picctures

I took these last night after the kids had their bath. They are adorable, I must say!

Bottle Free!

Well, the quads are FINALLY off the bottle. They have been only getting about 2 ounces in a bottle at night for a few weeks...I was just putting off the final weaning because I was a big ol' chicken. I admit it. :)

The kids are all doing great....they are all walking (running in Carter's case) really well. We have childproofed a larger area for them to play in, and they truly love it. Oddly, their favorite place to be is in the hallway. What a bunch of sillies.

I have taught the kids to raise their hands in the air when I ask what the Steeler's do, and yell "touchdown!" They love it. They are waving and shaking their heads "no" as well. Seth doesn't do it as much, but he makes up for it in his exploratory adventures. Seriously, nothing is safe when he is in the room. He loves to open doors and cupboards more than the others, that's for sure!

My new job is going great. I learn more and more every day.

I am so thankful for the blessings that God has given us.

Woo hoo!

Today Carter had his one year echo cardiogram (I really have no idea how to spell it!). When he had one done at Children's Hospital in Omaha when he was 9 weeks old there were some irregularities, so we had to double check it all. We got good news today! There is nothing to worry about, and he doesn't have to be checked again. YEAH, BABY!

Even though there hasn't been any signs of an issue, knowing that there were some irregularities before I always had a little worry in the back of my mind. Now I can rest....well, kind of, anyway. :)

I still can't believe the kids are one year old. Carter and Lily are walking really well. Seth is taking more and more steps everyday. Logan doesn't really care about it yet, but that's cool. He'll get there.

As many of you know, I am going to be starting a new job on Monday. I have been working for the Catholic Church for 10 years, and it is time to move on... I will be working at Touchstone Living Center as an administrator in training until I get my license in nursing home administration. I can't wait! My new boss is very positive, energetic, and excited about me joining the team. Please pray for me and the family as we adjust to this change.

Well, that's all for now. Peace out.

One Year Picture...

  • This is the picture that Genelli's in Sioux City did for us. I totally love it.
  • Last week we were battling 6 ear infections and lots of RSV. They are much better this week, thank goodness.
Lily is getting really good at walking, and Carter has almost mastered it. He has been trying to run, which freaks me out. Seth and Logan take occasional steps and are getting closer every day.

The AEA came to visit yesterday, and it sounds like the kids are on track considering their corrected gestational age. In some ways they are "ahead of the game." We are so proud (and relieved) that they are doing so well. Give praise to God on that one!

Running Man

I think Seth might have a future in running....I don't know, see for yourself.

ONE YEAR!!!

Well, what a long journey it has been...yet so quick, too! I had no idea that the learnign curve for parents was so intense. I always knew my mom was amazing, but I had no idea what it was like until now. And the thing is, I know I have a long way to go!

So, for a walk down memory lane, here are some pictures. You will see a picture of them the day after they were born, and then one from this morning. The kids are, as always, in birth order Seth (Baby A), Lily (Baby B), Logan (Baby C), and Carter (Baby D). The one of me is of delivery day, and the sonogram is from 14 weeks pregnant. :)

Logan's Run...or walk, really

Logan took a few steps, too! Now it is up to Seth. No pressure, son.

First Birthday Party!!!

Sunday we had the kids' first birthday party. Due to incredible numbers, we had to make it family only...but holy cow, what fun!

By the end of the party, the kids were pretty darn tired, so they aren't the happiest in the posed picture with Grandma Theisen Cronin.

Seth wasn't too sure how he felt about his first taste of birthday cake, but later he decided he like it. Carter ate his like it was his birthday. :) Lily liked the whipped topping, and Logan liked it all!

The Bean's Turn

Yesterday Lily took her first steps! In the morning I was playing with her and I got her to take ONE little step. After that, she was done. Then when I got home I was cooking dinner in the kitchen and Kevin was playing with one of the boys. I happened to look over, and there my Lilybean was, walking! I saw her take three steps completely on her own. I shouted (a little too loudly) for Kevin to look and startled her. She took one more step and fell. My little girl is growing up!

We are slowly starting to introduce the kids to table food. They seem to be hungrier for food and less excited about the bottle. So, that's cool!

I was at my mom's last weekend, and it was great. It was a TOTAL circus, but great. I love it when my sister's girls play with our kids. :)

I hope you had a Merry Christmas and brought in the New Year warmly!
